Sex & Dating Valentine’s Day Edition by J.R. Yussuf
This day is normally reserved for the lovers, but could your Valentine be playing pretend?
Don’t worry folks, I won’t take too much of your time because what I have to say will be straight to the point.
Just because he asked you to be his Valentine or vice verse, does NOT mean you are not the ‘side piece.’ Just because you guys went to Chelsea Piers and sat under the moon and talked, does NOT mean you are special to him/her. Just because he took you to Red Lobsters and let you get the biggest Lobster they had, does NOT mean he would be willing to introduce you to his mom. Even though he whispered sweet nothings in your ear all night during the movie, he could be saying all the right things for all the wrong reasons.
The way your Valentine treats you throughout the year is the way you can tell whether he/she is sincere. Let me end by saying this, Valentine’s Day should not be the only day you guys exchange gifts, can be seen out in public together, or spend quality time together. Putting work into your relationship and into whether you can trust each other or not needs to happen daily. Take this day to evaluate your level of trust with your spouse and make an effort to give the same attention to your relationship that you do to what you give or get on Valentine’s Day.
