Love and Hip Hop Atlanta let the backseat characters’ stories unfold this week, although most viewers only tune in to catch the madness that is Stevie J and Joseline.
Rasheeda’s relationship with her husband/manager Kirk is shaken up by her decision to meet with other possible management. It was such a sad sight to see Kirk nearly cry because of his loyalty and love for her. Honestly as entertainingly ratchet Rasheeda’s raps are, I do believe if she wants to save the future of her marriage, she’s going to have to hang up her career. They should have never partnered up in the first place. I’m getting the feeling that love and the hip hop industry just don’t mix, prime example, Stevie J and his drama along with Lil Scrappy and Erica.
Speaking of Lil Scrappy and Erica, Erica should’ve listened to her mother. A mother always knows best even though Mignon, yes that’s her real name, was not always present in her life. I wish Erica could see the same episodes the viewers at home are watching so she could get a clue. Lil Scrappy is trying to move on with Shay without any strings.
As for the juiciest and most confusing story line this week, Kharlie and Benzino. I wonder if anyone is as confused as I am on how these two managed to get together. Their relationship reminds me of Beauty and the Beast. Benzino legit reminds me of a human toad. Their date took place at his house where he seemed to be a gentleman. I don’t know if that was such a good idea but Benzino said to Stevie J that his relationship with Kharlie was getting serious. Kudos to new love.
Yet again Joseline and Mimi met to discuss the man they both are sadly involved with. Joseline apologized for her pathetic threats via text and for getting pregnant. Mimi brushed it off as being inauthentic. I think the apology was coming from a genuine place, well in regards to the text. Joseline is not sorry about sleeping with Stevie J, I don’t believe it. They did however reach some sort of understanding with one another.
Hopefully next weeks episode brings more drama and juice because this one ran out of both ingredients a few mins into the episode.
