“Otis” talked of the riches and greats of the live led by the famous. It was a great song and to this day when it comes on my iPod, I still feel rich by association but then the video came out and calling it disappointing is not a word strong enough to describe the lackluster effort of two artists who are supposed to represent the best of the best in hip hop. So, then the other day I hear they came out with an official video for ” Ni**as in Paris” . My first thought was “I hate that song” and my second thought was “Would they mess it up as bad as they did ‘Otis’?” The video was sub par at best but definitely a bit better than “Otis” official video. Epilepsy-inducing visuals were used over concert footage, where they performed this song over 5 times in at least every city on their tour. The video was slightly better than “Otis” and maybe that was due to Jay and Kanye not having to do anything extra in creating this video other than paying the guy who cut it, edited it, and put it together. But, don’t let my cynical views be the judge. Watch the video down below and let us know if it’s college love or heartbreak.
