Fashion Trends: Goodbye 2k11 Hello 2k12

2011 saw a lot of fashion trends that should go and some trends that we’re revisiting should surely stay.

One highly regarded fashion statement of the year was denim cutoffs. They were worn both in the winter and the summer, paired with everything from crop tops and sweaters, to sweaters and booths. This is a look that should stick around in 2012, because of it can go for any style.

Another large trend of 2011 was feathers. There were feathers in people’s hair, accessories and clothing. The feather trend had lost its weight in the hair department, but feather earrings is the perfect way to add fun to any ensemble.

 

A trend that has made a huge rise this year was sheer clothing. Its been done in a very couture manor as well as a dressed down way. There are many ways to wear sheer clothing. It can be done in a fun or serious manor.

In 2012, we expect to see a rise in the color blocking trend, with bold colors being paired with muted colors. Chunky jewelry is making a return, whether it’s metallic or not the trend has returned with the 80’s fashion being displayed all over blogs. Also, 2012 will see a rise in mixing bold prints with solid colors. The look can transcend throughout the year. My personal favorite trend that is on the forecast for 2012 has to be pastel colors, it makes for a very dainty and feminine fall for the ladies.
